Renowned racing driver Lewis Hamilton said equaling Michael Schumacher's Formula One win record with a 91st triumph on Sunday was beyond anything he could ever imagine. The Briton, set to be the game's best driver after his Eifel Grand Prix triumph at the Nuerburgring, said his accomplishment would take some effort to soak in. Schumacher's records once appeared sure to represent the ages, with doubt if anyone could ever defeat him. Yet, a courageous punter would wager against Mercedes driver Hamilton arriving at 100 feats.

"I don't know how it is for different drivers when they have these successes. However, it requires some investment from you to break it down and soak it in; acknowledge what it really implies," said the six-time Formula One World Champion. "Like all of us, I grew up watching Michael win all of those Grands Prix, and I could not have fathomed equaling him."
"Getting to Formula One was the initial step of the fantasy and imitating (Brazilian triple boss) Ayton (Senna)." However, Michael was a long way ahead.
According to a report by Reuters, he said, "It's beyond anything I could ever imagine. To believe that I'm here today having equalled him and I simply feel truly lowered by the second and the open door I was given when I was 13 by Mercedes."
This was not the only achievement Hamilton had under his belt, with the Briton additionally extending his records for progressive focuses completes (44) and most platforms (160).
Hamilton said winning didn't get simpler, regardless of whether karma was his ally on Sunday with a colleague and closest rival Valtteri Bottas resigning because of a force unit issue, and it had not been simple for Schumacher either.
