IPL-End of the season games to begin

Sports- IPL 2020 went down to the wire. It was the final league game that decided the playoffs schedule. Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by ten wickets in Sharjah on Tuesday and secured the third spot in the playoffs. SRH has qualified compellingly. Mumbai Indians became the first team to reach the qualifier round. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi capitals (DC) joined Mumbai Indians after Monday's match. The end of the season games starts from 5th November with the Qualifier 1 game, trailed by Eliminator on the following day.

NDTV reported that the Mumbai Indians would meet Delhi Capitals in the first qualifier game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 at the Dubai International Stadium on 5th November. MI will play against second-placed DC.

The Mumbai Indians finished at the top of the points table in the Group Stage with nine wins from fourteen matches, while Delhi Capitals managed to get eight wins. Mumbai was the first in the group to meet all requirements to make their place in the playoffs.

Delhi Capitals qualified on Monday after beating Royal Challengers Bangalore in their last alliance match.

Mumbai Indians has beaten the Delhi Capitals side in both the matches in the league stage by five wickets and nine wickets respectively. It would be interesting to see who emerges victorious amongst the two in the first playoff match.

As reported by The Times of India, Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Royal Challengers Bangalore in the eliminator round on 6th November at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad secured the third position by defeating Mumbai Indians. While the Royal Challengers Bangalore finished fourth in the points table with seven wins in 14 games with the same number of wins as SRH, only separated by a lower NRR (Net Run Rate).

Royal Challengers Bangalore qualified because of a better NRR (Net Run Rate) than Kolkata Knight Riders despite losing their last match against Delhi Capitals on Monday.

The team winning the Eliminator will take on the losing team of Qualifier 1 on 8th November at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The finals will be played between the winner of Qualifier 1 and 2 on 10th November in Dubai.
