The 23-year-old athlete and software engineer, was involved in a road accident that led to her left leg’s amputation in 2011. But the accident couldn’t damage her spirit, and the young woman was determined to build her strength by playing her favorite sport, badminton.

A new challenge awaits Joshi as covid has delayed Paralympics in Japan. She will be participating in the mixed doubles and women’s doubles field, as no singles events will be played. She is currently training with her brother and coach Kunjan Joshi six days a week and is focusing on boosting her strength and stamina.

In one of her interviews, Joshi said that she started playing badminton at the age of six. From then on, every step of her quest for qualification would be her family, notably her brother and coach Kunjan Joshi, who is working hard to change the whole script of her life and make sure that she gives her 100 per cent.
