DC Entertainment, after months of speculation, premiered multiple new trailers for much-awaited superhero films during the DC FanDome. This is DC’s own entertainment and comic book convention. The DC FanDome, a DC comics-based comic-con event was a product of the COVID19 pandemic but even then, was a massive success for the firm. Even with issues with respect to rescheduling, the event was a grand success by the metrics. Through the course of the event, films, television series, video games, and comic books were discussed. But the highlight of the event was the multiple trailers and teasers which were released for the year 2020-2021. Promos, concept art, and news for its upcoming movies, TV shows, video games also got a lot of attention from the fans. DC fans got the first-ever look at Robert Pattinson as The Batman, which is set to release on October 1, 2021. The trailer has already gotten over 9.5 million views and keeps rising. It was also revealed that this film would take place outside the DC universe and also serve as the setting for a new HBO series Gotham: PD. The much-awaited trailer for the Snyder Cut of the film justice league was also released. The fans had been asking for this version of the film for a long time and it had at one point even led to a movement which pressurized Warner Brothers, who owns DC into releasing the Snyder Cut. The second trailer for WonderWoman 1984 which is set to be released on October 2, 2020, also produced major hype. Directed by James Gunn, the new Suicide Squad film that boasts of an impressive cast also got its moment through the course of the event. It is set to be released on August 6, 2021. An animated teaser trailer for the new Black Adam film, played by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson also got the limelight. Right alongside all these, fans were also given a trailer for the new video games 'Gotham Knights' and 'Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League'. The Shazam sequel was given an official title “Shazam: Fury of the Gods,”. Sandman and Static Shock are both headed to the big screen and they have also been given a digital series. And finally, a new comic book which would be released in January 2021 is to be written by the Oscar-winning screenwriter of “12 Years a Slave”, John Ridley. The virtual convention proved to be very successful and a great day for DC fans all around the globe.
